Your help would be greatly appreciated too. The software is free (as in
free speach) but the support may not be free (as in free beer).

Your sentence "I still haven't heard back from anybody" is a bit rude.
People on the mailing list has no obligation to help you.

If you need help I think you can propose a contract to some people here.

Regards,

Sorry if I sounded rude. Of course nobody is obligated to help me but I had hoped that the answer was short enough that some kind soul could spare a few seconds to respond. As I gain experience with this field I too will be willing to contribute my own expertise, just as I have on many other free software-related mailing lists. At present I am unable to pay for support but this may change in the future. Right now I am doing some preliminary investigation and benchmarks before choosing a specific reader or card.

Forgive me if I have already tried your patience too much, but I am told by a GemPlus representative (Sunil Vasudevan) that the GemXpresso Pro V3 cards support 1024 bit keys, and yet I can't get XCard II to generate anything but 512-bit keys. Was I misinformed? I completely understand if you don't want to help anymore.

Thanks,

Carl Youngblood
