Your card is dead or inserted the wrong way or the contacts should be
cleaned or the card is not compliant to ISO 7816.

What is this card? Does it work in another reader?
  

All the cards tested worked (and still work) fine in the same reader in windows.
So it's bound to be something else.
Any Ideas?
