Also, in restaurants and shops it is usual to pay with credit card. They can obtain a duplicated card with a modified reader. They lack the pin, but it is a matter or probability... just 4 digits and most people use dates from 198X, 1990 or 200X. Even then, it is possible to make a modied card with a new photo and signature so they can use it to buy valuable goods in shops.
Just to illustrate a few more problems.
