ERROR: Wrong parameter(s) P1-P2. Not enough memory space in the file.

I'm not sure where this error is.
I tried pcsc-perl-1.4.2 and did a "make test"

A make test for pcsc-perl-1.4.2, I assume...

With a JCOP or cyberflex 32K egate card, I get

TransmitWithCheck:
=> 00 A4 00 00 02 3F 00

The cyberflex 32K egate wants 04 for P1 and the AID must be between 5 and 16 bytes long.... this does not indicate a problem with pcsc-perl, AFAICT

<= 6A 86
SW: 6A 86 (Wrong parameter(s) P1-P2. Incorrect parameters P1-P2.)
 Send -> 00 A4 00 00 02 3F 00
 Recv <-  (SW: 6A 86)
........................................ OK
ISO7816Error:
6A 86: Wrong parameter(s) P1-P2. Incorrect parameters P1-P2.
........................................ OK

I can reproduce it. (using gpsh [doing some marketing here]):

gpsh> debug on gpsh> apdu 00A40000023F00 ---> 00 A4 00 00 02 3F 00 <--- SW: 6A 86 (Wrong parameter(s) P1-P2. Incorrect parameters P1-P2.) ERROR: Wrong parameter(s) P1-P2. Incorrect parameters P1-P2. gpsh>

with a cryptoflex egate I get

I do not have the documentation for this card, so I cannot comment, but I would think the problem is the same.

TransmitWithCheck:

<= 6D 00
SW: 6D 00 (Instruction code not supported or invalid.)
 Send -> 00 A4 00 00 02 3F 00
 Recv <-  (SW: 6D 00)
........................................ OK
ISO7816Error:
6D 00: Instruction code not supported or invalid.
