Hi, I'm trying to install the ACS ACR30U on my Fedora Core 3 system. (But I encountered the same problem on a RedHat 9 system as well.)
I have pcsc-lite-1.2.0 running. I configured it with these parameters: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/pcsc --enable-libusb --enable-usbdropdir=/usr/local/pcsc/drivers/ (I also tried to do it with pcsc-lite-1.2.9beta6 but this driver already had problems with my reader.conf file which contains my serial Towitoko driver. But that is not the issue here.) Furthermore I downloaded the ACR30U_PCSC_LINUX_1_0.zip from acs.com.hk and created the bundle acsAcr30.bundle which is located at /usr/local/pcsc/drivers. However if I try to start up pcsc I get the following messages: penguin:sbin# ./pcscd --foreground --apdu pcscdaemon.c:251 main: pcscd set to foreground debuglog.c:188 Debug options: APDU readerfactory.c:1391 RFInitializeReader: Attempting startup of Towitoko Chipdrive Micro 0 0. readerfactory.c:1133 RFBindFunctions: Loading IFD Handler 2.0 pcscdaemon.c:445 main: pcsc-lite daemon ready. hotplug_libusb.c:344 Adding USB device: 002:009 readerfactory.c:1391 RFInitializeReader: Attempting startup of ACS ACR 30u 0 0. readerfactory.c:1133 RFBindFunctions: Loading IFD Handler 2.0 eventhandler.c:180 EHSpawnEventHandler: Initial Check Failed on ACS ACR 30u 0 0 Anyone any idea what is causing this Initial Check Failed problem? If someone has this particular device working on Linux, please tell me which versions and configurations you are using.
