Checking for /var/log/messages from Fedora (the one that works) and Mandrake
(doesnt), this is what I found:

/var/log/messages from Fedora:

on Fedora (works here)

usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using address 4
pl2303 1-1:1.0: PL-2303 converter detected
usb 1-1: PL-2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0
pcscd: hotplug_libusb.c:371:HPAddHotPluggable Adding USB device: 001:004
pcscd: readerfactory.c:1065:RFInitializeReader Attempting startup of Towitoko
Chipdrive USB 00 00.
pcscd: readerfactory.c:907:RFBindFunctions Loading IFD Handler 2.0
----------------

On Mandrake:

usb 1-1: new full speed USB device using address 3
pl2303 1-1:1.0: PL-2303 converter detected
usb 1-1: PL-2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0
pcscd: readerfactory.c:1065:RFInitializeReader Attempting startup of Towitoko
Chipdrive USB 00 00.
pcscd: readerfactory.c:907:RFBindFunctions Loading IFD Handler 2.0
pcscd: readerfactory.c:1100:RFInitializeReader Open Port 200001 Failed ()
------------------------------------------

So, on Mandrake, there is no "pcscd: hotplug_libusb.c:371:HPAddHotPluggable
Adding USB device: 001:004"

Is this helpfull??
