Guys:
I can't seem to get my Debian/testing PC to work with my ACR30U. When I connect the terminal, I see this in dmesg:
May 10 08:14:21 mercury kernel: usb 8-1: USB disconnect, address 5
May 10 08:14:26 mercury kernel: usb 8-1: new low speed USB device using address 6
Then I start up pcscd:
# pcscd -d -f pcscdaemon.c:242:main() pcscd set to foreground with debug send to stderr pcscdaemon.c:446:main() pcsc-lite 1.2.9-beta7 daemon ready.
Then I start up pcsc_scan:
# pcsc_scan PC/SC device scanner V 1.4.0 (c) 2001-2004, Ludovic Rousseau <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> PC/SC lite version: 1.2.9-beta6 Scanning present readers Waiting for the first reader...
... and that's as far as I get. I've tried inserting various smart cards, including the ACOS1, and gotten no response. I'm thinking that pcscd isn't "looking at" the USB reader. Here is my reader.conf:
# Gemplus GCR410 reader # see /usr/share/doc/libgcr410/Readme #FRIENDLYNAME "GCR410" DEVICENAME /dev/ttyS0 LIBPATH /usr/lib/pcsc/drivers/serial/libgcr410.so CHANNELID 0x0103f8
(I have a GCR412 connected to the serial port, pcsc_scan and pcscd don't seem to pay that any attention either).
* What do I put in reader.conf for my USB smart card terminal? * Any ideas why pcsc_scan isn't seeing my 412 connected to ttyS0?
Thanks!
b.g.
