Hi,

I am now currently working on Fedora Core 3, linux kernel 2.6.12-1.1376_FC3. I have a SCR331-DI USB reader but I can't get it to work. I understand that there's a similar post a month ago but then there is no solution there. If someone can help me out it would be great. Currently I had setup:

1) ccid-0.9.3
2) pcsc-lite-1.2..9-beta8
3) SCR331-DI_VER_0.0.1 (for LINUX KERNEL 2.6.x)

When I run ./pcscd -f -d, I get the following error message:

pcscdaemon.c:258:main() pcscd set to foreground with debug send to stderr
debuglog.c:207:DebugLogSetLevel() debug level = debug
pcscdaemon.c:463:main()pcsc-lite 1.2.9-beta8 daemon ready.
hotplug_libsub.c:404:HPAddHotPluggable() Adding USB device: 003:002
readerfactory.c:1096:RFInitializeReader() Attempting startup of SCR331 DI USB Smart Card Reader 00 00.
readerfactory.c:938:RFBindFunctions() Loading IFD Handler 2.0

readerfactory.c:1131:RFInitializeReader() Open Port 200000 Failed (usb:04e6/5111:libusb:003:002)
***************
readerfactory.c:1013:RFUnloadReader() Unloading reader driver.
readerfactory.c:249:RFAddReader() SCR331 DI USB Smart Card Reader init failed.

Then when I run lsusb, it does recognize the reader:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 04e6:5111 SCM Microsystems, Inc. SCR331-DI SmartCard Reader.

I had tried restarting, running pcscd with the reader unplugged, with the reader plugged. Running out of ideas now.

Would any one know what's wrong and can kindly give me suggestions on how to resolve this matter?

Thanks a lot for your time and patience!

Cheers,

  Arthur
