a wider question, on the same topic:

(1) it is possible to get the CPLC serial number from the GP API (e.g. in support of the implementation of musclecard's getstatus method?

Failed - so far - to find the magic, in our own research.

(2) given JVMs often substitute the chips ATR with one "manufactured" by the software process, do any profiles of the GP manufacturing process enable one to allow both original-chip and soft-ATR to be made available to the applet?

Peter.

Hi,

This is a capability I always wanted to see. Since MuscleCard is Java Card and most are on GP cards typically you can get the serial number as the CPLC data using Get Data APDU. I thought it might be nice to add that to GetStatus or to MSCGetCapabilities as a tag ....

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks
