I would like to ask to anyone who can help :
I am not able to understand in full the secure messaging system in Gemplus
MPCOS-ENTRY.
For certain commands (eg. create file) the reference document says (but do
not explain) that it is necessary to prepare, and append, the so-called
CRYCKS bytes. These are the result of a "cryptographic checksum" on the
bytes of the command itself.
I cannot find out what this crypto checksum is made of.
Yes I also have the 7816-4 document, but I really cannot understand what it
means.
Also: does anybody know of some development tool for this family of cards?

I am using the APDU interface program SMART CARD TOOLSET PRO, but I cannot
find any higher level tool.
The people at gemplus is not of a great help ... they do not care so much
of the small customers ...
