The thing with the ATR is strange, also the reader protocol, it seems
that your card has a problem (what transmission protocol does it use?).

Do the following:

Stop pcscd (The PC/SC Lite daemon) and execute a pcscd -f -a -d (I hope
these switches exist also in version 1.2.0, what this command should do
is, run the damon in forground, log to console and display send APDUs.)

Insert a card. Now the card should be recognized and an ATR displayed.
Try different cards, you certainly have more chip cards in your purse.

So, you can find out, if something is wrong with your card.
