I have been reading documentation and API's for a few weeks now, but maybe someone who has gone before me can point me in the right direction. I'm starting to loose steam trying to figure this out.

Smart Card:
GemSafe GemXpresso Pro 64K

Card Reader: GemPC Twin

I have the card working with a solid status light under Linux using the PCSC/Lite drivers. I can communicate with card with applications like pcsc_demo.

I have two “basic” things I want to do. I would like to submit a key to the card to unlock it, and then read a certificate off of it.

The software under Windows does this “out-of-the-box”, I would like to do this under Linux.
Gemplus states the cards is based in ISO-7816-4, so that can mean anything really. I have read through source code and tried to recreate the APDU packets, maybe I am taking he wrong approach. I hope there would be an easier way to accomplish this. ANY help to get me going in the right direction would be deeply appreciated.
If you have any questions about additional things I have tried, please ask . Thank you in advance.
