That may be a problem. PKCS#11 provider using the "old" API and/or
application using the "old" API.

Then start requesting vendors to upgrade their products... I have not
seen yet 2.20 implementation.

I see your point.
Although I still believe that the hotplug signal should be propegated
into the drivers using API, at worse case they will ignore it. Hooking
a signal may result conflict.
