JCOP41 supports the ISO7816-12 = USB for smartcards interface. The JCOP
engineering samples are blank, there are no applets installed. You need to
configure the card with the token (upload the muscle applet?).

>I've got a few of the NXP/Phillips JCOP41 cards. The cards are designed
to do e-gate style USB connection so I dumped one of them into one of my
old e-gate readers and voila - Windows recognized the card, loaded a USB
driver and then nothing.

>The various tools I've tried all seem to say the same thing - they
recognize the "reader" is there, but the "token" isn't present.

>Has anyone else played with these cards via the egate USB connection on
Windows? Any luck? Any suggestions?

>When I get some time I'll probably take them over to my linux box and see
if I can get them working there.

>Mike

>ps - these work fine through normal 7816 readers like the Gemplus USB-SW.

Best regards
