Hello everyone,

For a research project, I need a PCKS#11 capable smartcard and after
stumbling over the musclecard project decided on JCOP31/36k cards from
NXP (according to my information, those should support GP2.1.1, but I am
open to corrections) to install the MuscleApplet on.

Sadly though, this is were I am still stuck. The JCOP Tools as available
on a included CD crash somewhere in the constructor
com.ibm.jc.terminal.NativeJCTerminal as soon as I try to connect to the
card in the reader (Gemplus Twin via USB btw), and take Eclipse with
them.

Trying my luck under Linux, using GPShell, I managed to authenticate
only in OP2.0.1 mode, not in GP2.1.1 mode (mutual authentication fails).
Even if properly authenticated in OP2.0.1 mode though, a try at
installing the HelloWorld Applet on the card with "install -f
HelloWorld.cap" (and varying additional parameters) simply results in

install_for_load() returns 0x80206A88 (6A88: Referenced data not found.)

If anyone managed to install an applet on an JCOP31 using GPShell, or
has a clue as to what I'm doing wrong here, a quick hint therefore would
be greatly appreciated :)

I know this is probably not the 100% correct location to ask for help
with that kind of problem (as it is not yet Muscle specific), but I had
the impression that a load of people read this list who might have
already solved these starting problems and therefore hope you will
forgive that slightly out of topic call for help.

Kind regards and thanks for your time,
  Gina Häußge
