Can it be used without all of the remote desktop stuff? Both of the machines
in question are headless and have no GUI at all. Well, the machine without
the reader may sometimes be a Windows box, so it will have a GUI. The
machine with the smart card reader will be running Linux and will have no GUI
at all.
If the remote smart card support in rdesktop can be used without the rest of
RDP, then it might work very well.
