I think they have the same version number. The output is

libpcsclite1:
  Installed: 1.2.9-beta9-0bpo1
  Candidate: 1.3.2-5
  Version Table:
     1.3.2-5 0
        600 ftp://ftp.br.debian.org stable/main Packages
        600 http://linux.iq.usp.br etch/main Packages
 *** 1.2.9-beta9-0bpo1 0
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
pcscd:
  Installed: 1.2.9-beta9-0bpo1
  Candidate: 1.3.2-5
  Version Table:
     1.3.2-5 0
        600 ftp://ftp.br.debian.org stable/main Packages
        600 http://linux.iq.usp.br etch/main Packages
 *** 1.2.9-beta9-0bpo1 0
