I am trying to learn smard card development on OS X. I selected the
tests because I am familiar with them from Linux and right now it is the
only PCSC software that I have successfully built on OS X. To me it
looks like pscsd tries to connect the Gemplus, but after a number of
attempts it gives up.
I am trying to compile MacAPDU and CocoaCard from muscleapps svn as
well, but right now I have lots of build errors to sort out. I hope it
is just missing header files.
I figured if I can get the handler tests to work, I have a good baseline
for further experimentation.
Best regards,
Marcus Andersson

I have noticed that the system starts a new pcscd process whenever I
connect the reader,
This is a feature of OS X. Securityd is responsible for this behavior.
and it will interfere with my debug pcscd. Is it possible to prevent
the system from starting pcscd? The log above is captured when I
start pcscd with the reader already connected.
Rename /usr/sbin/pcscd to /usr/sbin/pcscd.x and run that manually.
After you're done, rename it back to pcscd
