Greetings,

I'm a newbie in smart card applications development and I have a following
case:
I need to write a certificate issued either by Win 2003 server certificate
services or self-signed certificate
to a smart card. Certificate should be used to authentificate client
app(java applet) to a WCF service, so I have to
programatically extract certificate from a card and use its private key for
encryption.Additional case is to use another certificate on
a smart card to enroll to a windows client account automatically

I have a couple of JCOP smart cards, which I got from my university, ACR38
USB smart card reader and JCOP tools license.I have also
sucedeed to find ID Ally software(the one on the identity alliance site does
not exist) and managed to install it.

The problem is I dont know where to start. I downloaded muscle applet but
don't know how to install it
to a card using JCOP Eclipse plugin, there seems to be no .cap in the
archive so I can install it to smart card. In
some information on the internet,I have read that a card should be
personalized, but I haven't found any guidelines for that action.

When I start the ID ally, and go to Profile Manager, the app does not list
smart card profiles as it should in the User guide, instead
I get CMCOpenSession failed dialog.I have installed it on WinXP
machine(installation on Win7 failed)

I have read most of the archive but really could not come up with some
coherent conclusion on how to start, I hope some of you could point me in
short(steps) how to achieve my goal.
I hope I have a relatively clear point, I apologize in advance if my case
hasn't provided all the necessary information. As my deadline to a project
is coming up real short, I have to ask for help in this way.

Best regards,
Tomislav
