Hi!

For almost a year I've been trying to work with a ACR ACS122U reader in an
Ubuntu Linux system (from Jaunty Jackalope (9.04) to Lucid Lynx (10.04))
and, in fact, I achieved to communicate with the tags, although i didn't get
the APDU responses that I expected. But as soon as I upgraded to Ubuntu
10.04 I began to get some execution errors (usually 0x8010002e, 0x8010001d
or 0x80100013, depending on the version of pcsc-lite and drivers that I was
using and whether I compiled the m specifically for my system or not) that I
haven't been able to solve although I tried to use Ubuntu 9.04 again. I
ended up realizing that my reader has a buged version of the firmware

00000008 ccid_usb.c:884:ccid_check_firmware() Firmware (2.05) is bogus!
> Upgrade the reader firmware or get a new reader.

and I haven't found a way to upgrade it. As I've lost all my hopes with this
reader, I was now wondering if ACS122T from the same brand has been tested
correctly or, on the contrary, give me some advice on which reader could be
a good choice to replace it with similar features.

Thanks in advance and let me know if I hadn't written correctly this post,
as it's the first time that I participate in this mailing list.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Francisco
