Hi there, I'm trying to get a project going on the BeagleBoard, which is basically a mini computer based on an ARM chip and running Angstrom Linux. I have an openembedded cross compilation environment set up, and have compiled a few things with it already, so that shouldn't be a major issue. I am however a complete newbie when it comes to smartcards.
What I was looking for was some advice on a USB smartcard readers and pinpads. Basically I need to be able to read a smartcard and a pin, and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a reasonably costed piece of equipment that I could pick up. I see a few listed at: http://pcsclite.alioth.debian.org/ccid/supported.html But I'd prefer to get a recommendation from someone with some experience, rather than just pick one from the list and try my luck. I was also wondering if someone could point me at a good "beginner's guide" to getting this sort of thing working. I assume I'll have to compile some sort of OpenSC or CCID package, and then... read the guide? :D I don't think Angstrom Linux has a precompiled package (though I could be wrong... I don't really like their package search page). I *do* however see a 'ccid' recipe in openembedded which looks like it's actually pcsc-lite. Assuming that compiles and works, is that all I need? Well, that's probably enough densely packed newbness for one post. Thanks for any help anyone has to offer! - Brent _______________________________________________ Muscle mailing list [email protected] http://lists.drizzle.com/mailman/listinfo/muscle
