Thanks for the maven hint. I know maven and are forced to use this at a
client site. I must admit that i dislike the tool very much (i hope i dont
get a war started...). At least in combination with eclipse you get the
worst of both worlds.

Anyway, the offer is (as described in the readme) that i will include
gladly any contribution wrt maven or ant. I will not provide one.

The question i'm searching an answer for is if we should include the final
deliverable as a binary or not. Here a POM that will enable a client to add
the binary to his project may be very reasonable (your "one step further").
Building the project itself with maven seems overkill and is in no way
comaptible to our build & deploy.
