Lombrera,
Muse is based on Apache WSRF, Pubscribe, so the features regarding
subscription and notification are provided by Pubscribe.
When a manageability endpoint receives a subscribe request,
a SubscriptionTopicListener is created,
and it is associated with the Topic which the requestor specified in the
subscribe request message.
Then, when the event occurs (the Topic is fired) the Topic invokes the
SubscriptionTopicListener.
The SubscriptionTopicListener sends a WSN notification message to the
Consumer specified in the subscribe request.
Before sending the notification message,
the SubscriptionTopicListener evaluates the Selector and the Precondition
specified in the subscribe request.
Whether Muse sends a notification or not depends on the Topic, the Selector
and the Precondition.
