Meeting Date:
6/9/06 11:00 a.m. EDT
Attendees:
Sal Campana
Dennis O'Flynn
Dan Jemiolo
Oliver Waeldrich
Mark Weitzel
Topics:
1. Getting code into SVN and creating a Maven build.
2. Client generation code and contributions
3. Web site updates
News & Decisions:
1. Dan is learning Maven 2.0 and will try to create a simple build
this weekend. Because the build may not be correct/complete this weekend,
Dan will put the source (in all the sub-projects) in the trunk before
working on the build. This will allow everyone to more easily look at the
code while waiting for the build.
2. Oliver talked about his team's work and expressed interest in
service-side generation as well. Andrew Eberbach of IBM will be
participating in this work as well (Andrew is out-of-office and will join
us Monday).
2a. We will extend next week's meeting for an additional 30
minutes so we can do an initial "deep dive" on the new code. Oliver in
particular will be looking at the code this week and the deep dive will
allow for Q&A before starting to design the code generation pieces.
3. Sal reviewed the use of Forrest and web site updates with
Maven/Forrest.
4. Sal reviewed the vote/release process and how that will affect
our six-week iteration cycle. We need to take this into account and give
ourselves some extra time to make sure we do the right reviews before
asking for a vote.
Action Items:
1. Dan will commit code/projects to trunk this weekend.
2. Dan will make initial Maven build this weekend - just
compilation and dependencies.
3. Oliver will review design doc/code in trunk this week.
4. Dan will try to figure out how to post the meeting minutes on
the web site so that all future meeting minutes can be posted rather than
emailed.
If you have any questions or clarifications about these minutes, please
send them along!
Thanks,
Dan
