Dear List,
(second attempt without link to program pdf ) it is my pleasure to invite you to the international symposium "TU(R)NING SPACE - Analysis, synthesis and perception of kinetic auditory space in music, art and hearing science" on 4+5 July 2025 in Munich and online. The transdisciplinary symposium will discuss aspects of acoustic space, source movement and the emerging sound source separation, pitch perception and spatial and dynamic re-synthesis of sounds with internationally recognized researchers in the fields of psychoacoustics, neuroscience, musicology, cultural studies and sound artists. Through topical sessions with two talks and a moderated discussion, the transdisciplinary symposium will network across the boundaries of the natural and cultural sciences and the arts and exchange knowledge and experience between the fundamental sciences and the arts. The emergence and representation of movement in audiovisual art, in particular in spatial electronic music installations, will also be highlighted in a public evening event. Thanks to our funders, attendance is free - either in person in Munich or online.
