two notes:
1. "linear interpolation" while not sounding as sophisticated as
"first-order Lagrange interpolation", would communicate the concept
more readily (albeit humbly).
2. i am not sure what would be needed for digital waveguides, but in
general, as long as you're willing to pay a little more for it, there
is better interpolation than that for audio signals. maybe it ain't
necessary for waveguide synthesis, or whatever else you're doing with
waveguides.
