Microsoft’s 343 Industries is looking for a Music Supervisor to help
create the next generation of musical soundscapes in the Halo universe.
Work on one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in

of Halo.


We are looking for a talented and experienced Music Supervisor who can
help us realize our vision for the most immersive and dramatic soundscapes
for in-game and cinematic experiences. As a candidate, you should
understand and have experience with the challenges of musical content
authoring, specifically music composition as well as architecting
interactive music structures and collaborating with other composers.


RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Music Supervisor, you will be responsible for original music
composition, facilitating original music production and architect the
interactive music structure. Also responsible for music composition for
cinematic and provide logistical support for contractor composers for
production needs as well as edit their compositions into stems. You will
handle all music related contractual transaction by collaborating with the
finance team.


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

- At least 5 years of creating musical asset for AAA titles

- Deep understandings of challenges with game music composition

- Deep knowledge of scoring for linear media (cinematic)

- Must be proficient in traditional audio production skills/tools/processes

- Must have experience working with FMOD, Wwise or XACT

- Must be proficient with Pro Tools and/or other DAW systems

- Experience dealing with musical content licensing and contracting

- Must have industry contact with traditional music production community

- Strong communication skills

- Passion for creating an amazing AAA experience


REQUIREMENTS

You will be asked to submit:

1. 3 composition demos you worked on in the past

2. 1 composition with what you would consider to have very strong sense of
theme or melody

3. Original composition of:

a. Your original interpretation of Master Chief’s theme in Halo3 (as
trailer music). Should be about 2 to 5 minutes in length

b. Sci-fi, intense battle music, 1 to 3 minutes in length
