Kindly allow me to provide further information on the job ad. The
experience requires advanced degrees in engineering or physics (this is
not a position for a music major unless the music major double majored in
engineering or physics). The areas of experience sought are physical
acoustics, finite element modeling and Actran.
it's related to acoustics and DSP but is not really music and DSP.

i know about finite element analysis, but i haven't heard about this
product before.
A Ph.D. in math with deep experience in acoustics would be considered even if
he or she were not a mechanical engineer.
Linda, i would suggest posting this to sci.physics.acoustics and maybe
to comp.dsp . i think you'll find that to be more fertile ground to
plant this in.
