Hi I have a couple of questions... Let's start with the latter:

(1) How does a guitar amp distortion effect deal with aliasing. If you use
a transfer function like tanh, you get lots of high frequencies well beyond
nyquist. How do commercial products like:

handle this problem. I'm guessing they use the oversample/filter technique?

(2) How taxing is that on the CPU? Can a modern day i3, i5, i7 handle this
sort of thing with ease? Is there some simple rule of thumb that can help
calculate how much more CPU processing power is needed depending on the
oversampling factor?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff
