2. Conductors, choir masters, orchestras, and choirs: Currently, we can set choir master and conductor for a release, but we cannot link them in an artist-artist relationship. Many conductors and choir masters are contracted by a group, sometimes for over fifty years. Quite frequently there is an ongoing relationship between the two. Yet, ARing the the conductor as a "member of" the orchestra implies the wrong thing. So I'd suggest that the "artist conducted" and "artist was choir master for" ARs be expanded to be artist-artist ARs, as well as artist-release ARs.
^I want this too.
3. Librettos: I've mentioned it in passing elsewhere, but we really need to expand this from just a artist-release AR to a artist-track AR as well.
^Yes.
7. Multiple instruments and commas: Which comma style do we want to use? "2 voices, violin, viola, and timpani" or "2 voices, violin, viola and timpani"? Personally, I like the former, but I grew up having that style beaten into my head, so I'm more used to it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_comma says there's no consensus generally. Personally, I have no preference.
8. No., Act, and Scene: If we're going to potentially be language-correct with quotes, do we still want these always in English style, or do we want to allow for Nr., Atto, etc.?
Perhaps the whole track title should be in the same language: "Cantata" implies "No.", while "Kantate" implies "Nr."?
10. In the roles list in opera style, in what order ought the roles to be listed? In order of appearance within the work? Alphabetically? Randomly? (I vote for alphabetically by first letter of the role name)
Order of appearance within the particular track would be the most helpful when it comes to being able to tell whom one is hearing. However, alphabetical order would require far less research to do correctly.
