In my opinion, Is clever and intresting the use of DATE in the AR : has piano performed by Glenn Gould in 1955, maybe this could be the correct way to store the performance date (for all the releases), but we need to clarify and state the rule (i.e. only for the major artist, the soloist in this case or the orchesta for synphonies or...) in order to avoid different dates for different artist in the same release (this could happen in case of release made by material recorded in different performance event - not compilation, but orignal release build up in this way - when for any reason in some event the same role is played by different artist (happened recently at La Scala due the sickness of a vocalist, I could not remember the opera).
