OK, I lied. Qball reported some nasty (but vague) issues on IRC
about lockups that may be fixed here:

  * incorrect types with sequence numbers to outputBuffer which could
result in lockups should be fixed, embarrasing bug if it was
/that/! (interdiff the previous diff you want to point and laugh,
I blame the hot weather :P)

  * Definitely fixed: switching between songs with different
audio formats is now done correctly once again. I had to
dig up some non-CD-sourced audio, but this should work now.

  * Minor skipping issues from prev/next aren't reproduceable
on my end (600 MHz Centrino laptop), but it could just be
that I'm not yet handling buffer_before_play, yet...

If I can get more detailed bug reports and hardware configuration (SMP
vs UP, PPC vs x86 vs x86_64, etc), that would be great. This *should*
be SMP-friendly and I'll have a SMP box on hand this weekend for
testing.

I'll be busy tomorrow night so don't expect to get any work done
from now until Friday or Saturday...
