Lost in Japan
I went to Japan to spend the holidays with my daughter who is teaching
there. In Osaka we were lost at the train station and approached a
young couple who spoke broken English but understood where we were
trying to get to. They advised us that it was a twenty minute walk and
they would take us to our destination. We thought given the language
barrier, they didn't understand or that we didn't hear them correctly;
but this beautiful young Japanese couple walked with us for twenty
minutes, all the way to the door of the building, smiled and wished us
a pleasant day. My daughter and I wished we had something from our
country to give to them to say thanks and to remember us by. They
merely bowed and told us to have a nice day. My daughter hugged the
Japanese lady and told her that they were special; she hugged her
back. We are black so we stood out in Japan but it didn't matter to
them...they restored my faith in humanity that day.

Allah Most High said in the Qur'an (49:13): " O humankind! Lo! We
created you male and female, and made you nations and tribes that you
may know one another. Surely, the noblest of you, in the sight of
Allah, is the most righteous of you. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware."
Rasulullah(sallallahu alaiyhi wasallam) said in the Farewell
Pilgrimage: " There is no superiority of an Arab over a non-Arab,nor
of a non-Arab over an Arab.... except in whoever fears Allah the
most."
