In the name of Allah, the Most-Merciful, the All-Compassionate

"May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon You"
Praise be to Allaah, we seek His help and His forgiveness. We seek refuge with
Allaah from the evil of our own souls and from our bad deeds. Whomsoever Allaah
guides will never be led astray, and whomsoever Allaah leaves astray, no one
can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allaah, and I bear witness
that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

9: Wearing opposite Sex clothes

The clothes should not look like that of the opposite sex.
Al-Bukhari, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisa’i, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah reported on the
authority of Ibn ‘Abbas that he said, “Allah’s Messenger has cursed the women
acting like men and the men acting like women.”

The Prophet (peace be on him) declared that a woman should not wear a man's
clothing nor a man a woman's. He cursed men who imitate women and women who
imitate men.
[Reported by al-Bukhari and others]

Aspects of such imitation include the manner of speaking, walking, dressing,
moving and so on.

Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi #580, Narrated AbudDarda'
...don't drink wine for it is the key to every evil.

Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi #2776, Narrated Anas ibn Malik
Allah's Messenger (pbuh) cursed ten people in connection with wine:
1: the wine-presser,
2: the one who has it pressed,
3: the one who drinks it,
4: the one who conveys it,
5: the one to whom it is conveyed,
6: the one who serves it,
7: the one who sells it,
8: the one who benefits from the price paid for it,
9: the one who buys it,
10: and the one for whom it is bought.
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

11: Ladies putting heavy perfume

Al Hadis, Vol. 1, p. 616-617, No. 54, Abu Hurairah reported
Messenger of Allah said, "The perfume of a man is that which has a fragrance
but it has no color. The perfume of a woman has a color, but it must not have
an odor."

12: Shaving

Hadith - Bukhari 7:781, Narrated Ibn 'Umar
Allah's Apostle  said, "Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard (as it
is)."

Hadith - Muslim, Narrated AbuHurayrah
The Messenger of Allah  said: Trim closely the moustache, and grow beard, and
thus act against the fire-worshippers.

13 : Wearing Payal (ankle chains) to attract attention

Scholars have interpreted the directive to not display beauty and ornaments
except what ordinarily appears in terms of ordinary adornment and extra
adornment.

Ordinary adornments like kohl, henna, or a ring are permissible to wear in
public.

Extra adornment, like perfume, lipstick, dazzling eye colors, and the like are
not permissible to wear in public.

In short, any type of adornment which makes a woman look "made-up" and attracts
amorous attention is not permissible, as this would defeat the whole purpose of
hijab."

14: Dye in black

It is not permitted for a man to dye his beard Black because of the reports
which command us to avoid that and forbid us to do it.

Abu Dawood reported from Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah who said: “Abu Quhaafah was
brought on the day of the Conquest of Makkah, and his head and beard were like
thughaamah (a plant whose leaves and flowers are intensely white) because they
were so white. The Messenger of Allaah  (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) said: ‘Change this white hair, but avoid black.’”
[Reported by Muslim, al-Nisaa’i and Ibn Maajah]

Ahmad, Abu Dawood and al-Nisaa’i reported from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be
pleased with him) who said:“The Messenger of Allaah  (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) said: ‘There will be a people at the end of time who will
dye their hair black like the crops of pigeons; they will not even smell the
fragrance of Paradise.’”

But it is encouraged to change grey or white hair by dyeing it any other colour
except black, because of the hadeeth of Jaabir quoted above

15 : Mixing among Sexes.

In Abu Daoud, V.4, Hadith No. 5274, it is narrated upon the authority of Abu
Usay Ansari that he heard the Messenger Muhammad (saw) say when he saw people
mixing together in the street, "O men and women separate yourselves, it is not
allowed for you to be in the same place."

Ibn Abbass (ra) said, 'This is the place where people disobey Allah', e.g. by
mixing in cinemas,or mixing in festivals that men and women are free mixing.

We must understand that we are Muslims so we follow the Islamic culture not the
Desi or Arabic culture !!!

"Those who oppose Allah's orders have been warned that a calamity may strike
them or a painful doom may fall upon them."
[24:63]

16: Playing Songs

The Noble Qur'an - Luqman 31:6
And of mankind is he who purchases idle talks (i.e. music, singing, etc.) to
mislead (men) from the Path of Allah without knowledge, and takes it (the Path
of Allah, the Verses of the Qur'an) by way of mockery.  For such there will be
a humiliating torment (in the Hell-Fire).

Ibn Masood (ra) said about this verse "I swear by the One other than Whom there
is no God that it refers to singing [ghinaa].", and he repeated this three
times.

Ibn Abbaas (ra) said it refered to 'singing and the like' while Jaabir (ra) is
reported to view its meaning to signify singing and listening to songs. Many
taabi'oon such as Mujaahid, Ikrimah, Mak-hool and Umar ibn Shu'ayb viewed it as
a censure of music and song.
