Hadith
Abu Qataadah radhiyallahu anhu narrates
that the Holy Prophet sallahllahu alayhi wasallam
was asked regarding the fast of the day of Aashooraa.
The Holy Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam replied:
"It is a compensation for the (minor) sins of the past year".
