B i s m i l l a a h i r R a h m a a n i r R a h e e m As Salaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barkaatuh! Hadith Abu Sa'eed al-Khudree radhiAllah anhu stated in a narration collected by Bukhari, that on one occasion The Messenger of Allah (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) asked his Companions radhiAllah anhum: Is it difficult for any of you to recite one third of the Quran in one night? This suggestion was difficult for them so they said, Who among us has the power to do so? O Messenger of Allah (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) !'' Allah Apostle (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) replied: Allah (the) One, the Self-Sufficient Master Whom all creatures need. (Surah Al-Ikhlas 112.1to the End) is equal to one third of the Quran. [Sahih al-Bukhari] Urdu Transliteration Rasool'Allah (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) ne Sahaba ikram (radhiAllah anhum) se sawaal kiya: kya tum mein se kisi ke liye ek raat mein ek-tihaayi Quran ki tilawat karna mushkil hay? Ye baat sabkay liye mushkil thi iss liye unhon ne kaha, Ya Rasool`Allah (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam), hum me se bhala kis ke paas aisa karne ki taqat hogi? Rasool`Allah (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) ne farmaya, " 'Qul Hu Allahu Ahad, (Allahu Samad, lam Yalid wa lam yulad, wa lam ya Qul ahu kufu wan ahad') (Surah Al-Ikhlas 112) ek-tihaayi (1/3) Quran ke barbar hay" [Sahih al-Bukhari] My Lord! Grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with, and make me enter, by Thy mercy, into Thy servants, the good ones.
