Top 10 Missionary Tactics By Sami Zaatari http://muslim-responses.com/Top_Ten/Top_Ten_ Indeed in our current day, Christian missionaries are working harder than ever to try and win over Muslim converts, so therefore I thought it would be helpful to point out the top 10 tricks that these missionaries apply to try and trick the Muslim over to their side. Tactic # 1: The Quran says the Bible is true and not corrupted This tactic is becoming one of the missionaries' most favorite arguments to use, that the Quran calls the Bible the truth, and that it is un-corrupt. Indeed the implications are obvious, if the Quran calls the Bible true and uncorrupted, then we should become Christians and believe in Jesus' death amongst other Christian beliefs. It must be said though, that the reason why missionaries are using this argument more and more is because they have literally lost all hope of converting mass amounts of Muslims through the Bible, Christian missionaries know that most Muslims simply don't buy into the Christian doctrine, or the Bible, so the only resort they have is to try and use the Quran to try and convince the Muslims into believing the Bible. So now to the argument, does the Quran actually confirm the Bible, the present day one we have? Off course not, the Quran confirms the ORIGINAL Bible and revelation given to Moses, Jesus, and the other prophets. All major textual scholars have agreed that the Bible contains no original manuscripts, that all the manuscripts are copies of copies of copies of copies of other manuscripts, the originals virtually do not exist nor will they ever pop up. So with that said, the Quran does not confirm the present day corrupted Bible, as I said, it confirms the original revelations given to the prophets. The Quran does call the present day Bible as being corrupted, starting with the Christian scripture: 004.157 YUSUFALI: That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.
So notice, according to the Quran the Christians follow nothing but conjecture, corruption, and I ask, what do the Christians follow? They follow the New Testament, this is the book that claims that Jesus died, and rose from the dead, the Quran calls this corruption. What about the present day Jewish scripture? The Quran says: 002.079 YUSUFALI: Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. So according to the Quran the Jews wrote their own writings and then claimed it was from God. Lastly, here is what Ibn Abbas said regarding the both the Jewish and Christian scripture: Volume 9, Book 92, Number 461: Narrated Ubaidullah: Ibn 'Abbas said, "Why do you ask the people of the scripture about anything while your Book (Quran) which has been revealed to Allah's Apostle is newer and the latest? You read it pure, undistorted and unchanged, and Allah has told you that the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) changed their scripture and distorted it, and wrote the scripture with their own hands and said, 'It is from Allah,' to sell it for a little gain. Does not the knowledge which has come to you prevent you from asking them about anything? No, by Allah, we have never seen any man from them asking you regarding what has been revealed to you!" Ibn Abbas was one of the most knowledgeable Muslim of his time, he was a great Islamic scholar, and was also taught a lot of Islam and the Quran from the prophet Muhammad himself. It must be said that it wasn't only Ibn Abbas who made such a statement, but several of the very best early Muslims and scholars made the same statements. So it is quite clear that the Quran teaches that the present day Bible is corrupt, and so did the early Muslims. Tactic # 2: The Quran says to ask the Jews and Christians if they have doubts This is another deceptive trick by the missionaries; they will quote the following verse: If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt. (10:94) After quoting this the missionary will say, "see, you should come to us if you have questions!" Of course this tricks the Muslim into actually believing that, that the Christian is to be consulted on your questions, and that you should follow his guidance! This therefore means that we should accept Jesus as God, our savior, and so on and so on. Now as usual, the missionary is twisting things, because the Quran is not saying what the missionary is trying to make it say, rather the Quran is being very specific in this verse, and is referring to a very specific situation. This is another lovely Christian missionary trick, in which they try to attack the Quranic textual integrity, and to throw doubts on its authenticity and preservation. For starters the missionaries leave out major info, the Muslims always had an original copy of the Quran, which was collected and put together during Abu Bark's rule, yet this Quranic copy was not a standardized Quran, it was not sent out and made into copies. Yet when Uthman came into power, Islam had greatly expanded into other Arab and non-Arab territories, and as a result some differences arose in DIALECT, this basically means in the way Quran was recited, not an issue of textual differences, rather dialect differences, and this lead to competition, one group would say our dialect is better than yours and eventually this would lead to problems and confusion. So Uthman decided to make copies of the official complete Quranic manuscript which was made during the time of Abu Bakr which was also done in the Qurayshi dialect, that of the prophet Muhammad himself, after Uthman made copies of them he sent them out to each major Muslim province and the process continued and continued. The material which Uthman burnt were not even OFFICIAL ORIGINAL STANDARDIZED QURANIC TEXTS, some of the texts which were burnt were mere personal fragments, hence it is false to say Uthman went around burning Qurans. Secondly these 'burned Qurans' were not even for general use, they were only made for specific tribes etc, and most times they were simple personal collections, hence again it is false to say Uthman went around burning Qurans, what Uthman did was burn texts that were not complete Qurans, that were not completely original, and rather he replaced this doubtful texts with the REAL ORIGINAL COPY, the Christians WISH they could have such a thing with their own Biblical text, too bad for them. Tactic # 4: The Bible has thousands of manuscripts! The missionaries for some strange reason love boasting about their thousands of Bible manuscripts, they assert that since the Bible has so many manuscripts, it serves as proof that the Bible cannot be corrupted or else the manuscripts would prove it (laugh laugh, it seems the missionaries haven't been paying attention!), and it also makes them assert that so many manuscripts allow them to compare and be confident about the text of their Bible, since there are thousands of manuscripts to check them with. As usual the missionary does not tell all, indeed the Bible contains thousands upon thousands of manuscripts, yet none of these manuscripts agrees with the other! There are over 400,000 textual variants amongst these manuscripts! The textual variants include mere spelling mistakes, doctrinal differences, as well as INTENTIONAL ADDITIONS AND OMMISSIONS. As Bart Ehrman says, when a Christian talks about the Bible, which Bible?! The one in this manuscript or the one in the other? So indeed, it is great that the Bible has thousands of manuscripts, God has been so kind enough to leave so much evidence to disprove the Bible as a trustful preserved text! Furthermore, what missionaries don't tell you is that none of these manuscripts are the original, they are copies of the copies of the copies etc etc etc of the original! There IS NO SUCH THING AS AN ORIGINAL TEXT anywhere within Christian textual tradition or history! Unlike the Quran, the Quran has a tradition and history of having an original copy, from which other copies was made into an official standardized Quran by Uthman, for Christianity there is no such thing. Furthermore nearly ALL scholars agree that Uthman's standardized Quran is virtually preserved and has no problems with it, and I'm talking about none-Muslims, hostile ones included! Moving on, we have several Biblical manuscripts that include books that are no longer part of today's Bible! Rather they have been thrown out as heretical books, yet if you were living in the days of early Christianity certain books which are not included anymore would be available back then as being part of the Bible. Furthermore, certain books that are in today's Bible were not part of the Bible back in the days of early Christianity! So indeed, God has preserved so much evidence to disprove the Bible as an authentic preserved and trustworthy text. Tactic # 5: Jesus loves you! This is another tactic they use, they always repeat that God, Jesus, loves you so much! This is assuming that Allah does not love you! Yet as we all know, Allah loves the Muslims too, and there are full of beautiful parables within Islamic text to try and describe Allah's vast care and love for his believers. The missionary tactic is all based on duping the Muslim into feeling that God doesn't love them, it is to make the Muslim feel bad, and small, and right after this the Christian will say Jesus loves you, to fill that hole the missionary has left by his former lies that Allah doesn't love you, and this can work very effectively sometimes, many people want to be loved. Now some of you who read this would not be duped into such a thing, but there are many ignorant Muslims who are very easy to prey upon, and this is exactly what the missionaries do. Tactic # 6: Pretend to be Muslim! This deceptive tactic comes straight from Paul, 1 Corinthians chapter 9 verses 19-22: 19For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. 20And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; 21To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law. 22To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. So notice how Paul would pretend to be different persons, to a Jew he pretends to be Jewish, and to a gentile (Greek) he pretends to be a Greek! Christian missionaries have directly used this as well, you will literally have Christian missionaries to pretend to be Muslims, they will claim they are Muslims, yet you will find out that they support Israel, Zionism, claim Jesus is divine, that the prophet Muhammad is not special. Some may call me paranoid, but here is one site for you: http://www.arabsforisrael.com/ This site pretends to be Muslim, yet from the first day I saw it I said this is a fake, lo and behold I did some research into the sites owner, Nonie Darwish, and she eventually turns out to be an apostate and convert to Christianity!! Yet this is not mentioned anywhere on the site, and the site continues to pretend to be Muslim, while even attacking Islamic law at the same time, and indeed this is very effective, some Muslims buy it, and say hey maybe Islamic law is bad, after all other Muslims are saying it, so maybe! This is what we call as INFILTRATION. Then you also have the book titled the True Furqan, by Anis Shorrosh, the crazy missionary arsonist who almost burnt a building down! He made this book trying to make it sound like the Quran, yet the book was filled with Christian messages, all of it meant to dupe and trick the Muslims, they thought they were reading the Quran, yet it's really a Christian book in disguise. There are many more examples that could be given, but the message is clear my friends, missionaries are so deceptive they literally pretend to be Muslims. Tactic # 7: Make things up! This is one of the most devilish tactics, the missionary actually resorts to literally making things up, things that do not exist in any Islamic text! One example would be that Jesus knows the final hour according to the Quran, this lie has been made by Anis Shorrosh the arsonist, and continues to be made by many other missionaries, yet no such single text exists! Many Muslims are ignorant, hence they have no idea to verify whether the missionary would literally make things up, yet sadly that is the reality. I mean Dr. James White, a scholar, resorted to doing such a thing during his debate with Shabir Ally, Dr. White claimed that Muslims beat Ibn Masud so bad that he died later from his wounds yet when Shabir asked for proof and said that Dr. White was mistaken, Dr. White persisted in his deception, claiming it is in Abu Dawud's Kitab Al Masahif, yet Dr. White did not quote Abu Dawud, he was quoting an English Christian book!! And White had the AUDACITY TO SIT ON STAGE AND SAY HE WAS QUOTING THE MUSLIM. So the deception is on all levels my friend, they will LITERALLY MAKE THINGS UP. Tactic # 8: Try to pit Islamic prophets against each other Missionaries will often try to use Quranic texts to pit one prophet against another, particularly Jesus vs Muhammad (AS). For instance they will say that according to Islam Isa (AS) raised the dead, cured the leper, healed the blind, and is still alive. After this they will say the prophet Muhammad didn't raise the dead, heal the blind, and that Muhammad (AS) is dead. So they try to use Islamic texts to make one better than the other, indeed this is probably the most pathetic tactic of all, because if missionaries bothered to do their homework, each prophet has their own uniqueness and specialty. For instance Adam is the first man ever, his beginning started in heaven itself! He is the father of all man. Prophet Solomon had a great kingdom, a kingdom so great and unique that no other person will have such a kingdom ever again! The list could go on, each prophet has their own unique blessings and miracles, and the prophet Muhammad is no different, he is the final prophet, he is a prophet for mankind, he will intercede for the Muslims on judgment day, and with all that he is the greatest of creation! Yet even with all of this you wont here Muslims going around saying oh you see Muhammad (AS) has this and Jesus doesn't, nananana! This is not the Islamic method, we make no distinction between the prophet, perhaps missionaries should learn about this. In fact this missionary tactic is quite interesting, it is a classic case of divide and conquer, indeed this is the devils work at its best. Tactic # 9: Will not give you much info about the Bible This is another tactic they use, you see friends, the missionary will first want to indoctrinate you, essentially brainwash you. The Missionary will give you such a rosy lovely picture of Christianity and the Bible, and once he suckers you in, all of the violence and disgusting things found within the Bible wont affect you much because you have been brainwashed and indoctrinated, therefore you will read such things and excuse it. The missionary will never DARE allow an ignorant person to wander off into their Bible, no way! Rather the Missionary will quote small bits and pieces, to make you feel all dandy and colorful, there is no way the missionary will show you the ugly nasty stuff. Unlike in Islam, where one of the main method of dawah is to simply allow the none-believer to read the Quran for himself, as the truth and evidences is so great he will become convinced by it. Off course the person may get some difficulties, and will ask questions etc, yet this is part of the process of dawah, to be there to explain what confuses the person and to make things easy for him. Such a concept is null in Christian missionary work. Why do you think when missionaries come up to you they offer you pamphlets, and not the actual Bible? The pamphlet contains a few verses, and a site link, you go the site link and it's all preaching, no actual Bible to read. I have yet to come across a single missionary who has offered me a Bible (perhaps now when missionaries see me at a debate they will offer me a Bible!) Now some Christians do offer you the Bible with good intention, but this is not a common act, the fact is most missionaries will not let you touch a Bible on your own while they work on you, they want to brainwash you at first, although some sneaky missionaries will offer you a Bible at times, but only for food ;) now that's a topic for another day. Missionary Tactic # 10: The Miracles and Dreams! When the missionary has completely failed he will resort to saying he has seen miracles before his eyes, and has talked to people who have dreamt of Jesus, and heaven! This is the nice supernatural factor, it must be true, or else how could these people perform miracles and seen men of God and God himself? Well for starters they are lying, most missionaries don't perform any miracles, nor do they speak in tongues, unless screaming LAWALALALALALWALALHUMBALALA counts as speaking in tongues. On top of that they don't know anyone who performs miracles, nor have they seen miracles, it is all made up fantasies, don't believe everything they say. Secondly, lets assume they can perform miracles, or have seen miracles and dreams, does that make them men of God? Of course not, all you have to do is read their own Bible where Jesus said the false prophets and the anti-Christ will perform miracles and mighty deeds, but don't fall for it, Jesus goes on to say that many people who claim to be Christians will do miracles, yet he will disown them! Even Islam teaches that false liars and shaytans can perform supernatural things that seem miraculous, the Dajjal will perform mighty deeds that will shock the people, he will cut people in half, raise the dead, and on and on. So even if they perform miracles, it doesn't serve as a proof that they are true, and I repeat, most of them are liars. It must also be said that many Christians have very wild imaginative minds and they often like to make more of things than they really are, for instance they will have a very strange dream so they will say oh this was God speaking to me etc etc. Christians need to start proving their faith makes sense, and I'm afraid that the miracles do not make Christianity any less false than before the miracle was performed! CONCLUSION This my friends brings this article to its closing, these are what I believe to be the top 10 missionary tactics they use to try and trick the Muslims, all Muslims should always be on guard and alert for such tricks, as they say, know your enemy.
