Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem As Salaamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barkaatuh Love of Prophet: Hub-e-rasool Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam (in the light of Qur'an and authentic sunnah) The people of ancient Arabia were misguided and misled. They disobeyed Allah and worshipped idols. Then Allah Ta’ala favoured mankind by sending them the best creation of Allah; the Master of humankind and jinns; the greatest personality on earth; the beloved of Allah, Prophet Muhammad Mustafa Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam. Hadith Narrated 'abdullah bin Hisham (Radi Allahu Anhu): We were with the Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) and he was holding the hand of 'umar bin Al-Khattab (Radi Allahu Anhu). 'umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) said to Him, "O Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) ! You are dearer to me than everything except my own self." The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) said, "No, by Him in Whose hand my soul is, (you will not have complete faith) till I am dearer to you than your own self." Then 'umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) said to him, "However, now, by Allah, you are dearer to me than my own self." The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) said, "Now, O 'umar, (now you are a believer)." (Sahih Bukhari: Book #78, Hadith #628) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Allah says in Holy Qur'an: The Prophet is closer to the Believers than their own selves, and his wives are their mothers. Blood-relations among each other have closer personal ties, in the Decree of Allah. Than (the Brotherhood of) Believers and Muhajirs: nevertheless do ye what is just to your closest friends: such is the writing in the Decree (of Allah) (Surah-33 Ayah-6) We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not. (Surah-34 Ayah-28) But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. (Surah-4 Ayah-65) "...So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah. for Allah is strict in Punishment." (Surah-59 Ayah-7) Dear Brother and sisters in Islam, Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) was the last Prophet of Allah. All sincere Muslims try to follow the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam). Many Muslim scholars have composed qasidas in praise of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam). But we should be caucious when we praise him... because... "... Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) said, 'Do not praise me excessively as Jesus, son of Marry was praised, but call me Allah's Slave and His Apostles.'..." (Sahih Bukhari: (Book #82, Hadith #817) Narrated Anas (Radi Allahu Anhu): The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) said, "None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind." (Sahih Bukhari: Book #2, Hadith #14) Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) is the connection between Muslims and Allah. We can never get close to Allah unless our hearts are filled with the love of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam). O Allah, kindly fill our hearts with the sincere love of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam) such as you please.
