Hazrat Zaid bin Arkam (Radiallahu Anhu) reports that the companions of Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam) asked him: "Ya Rasulullah, (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam) what is this sacrifice?" He (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam) said: "it is the way of your forefather Ibrahim (alaihis-salam)." They (Radiallahu Anhum) asked: "what (reward) is for us therein?" He (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam) replied: "There is a reward for every hair" They (Radiallahu Anhum) asked: "For the wool, Ya Rasulullah (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam)?" He (sallallaho alaihi wa sallam) replied: "There is one reward for every strand of wool."
