Bismillahir Rahmanir
Raheem

Assalamu
 Alaikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuh!

  An invocation or a
Du'a
is not the crutch of the weak or the incapable.

    It is
the finest strategy for all kinds of success

    - whether material or spiritual.

Most of the time men have worded their invocations

    in their own languages.

However, the finest of the invocations are the ones worded by

    Allah Subhanuhu wa
Ta`ala Himself

    and mentioned in the Noble
Qur'an.

Allah Subhanuhu
wa Ta`ala says (interpretation of the meaning):

"And when My slaves ask you

(O Muhammad Sallallahu

 Alaihi Wasallam)
concerning Me, then
(answer them),
I am indeed near (to them by My Knowledge).
I
respond to the invocations of the supplicant
when he calls on Me
(without any mediator or
 intercessor).
So let them obey Me and believe in Me,
so that
they may be led aright."

(The Noble Qur'an: Chapter #2,
Verse #186)

We would like to share

some invocations from the Noble Qur'an.
Since these invocations are mentioned
in Qur'an
and are taught to us by
Allah Subhanuhu wa Ta`ala
Himself
they are the best and perfect invocations.

What's more, Allah has promised that

          He will respond to supplications

          made by the righteous,
 by the sinners

          and even by unbelievers.

Du'a for Seeking Forgiveness of Allah

Allah
Subhanuhu
wa Ta`ala says (interpretation of the meaning):

          And seek Forgiveness of
Allah.

Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.

Aur Allah ki Bakhshish Talab karo.
Be-shaq Allah Bhakhshish Karne Wale
Aur Nihayet Rahem Karne Wale hain.

  (The
Noble Qur'an: Chapter #73, Verse #20)

Transliteration

"Rabbanaa!

zalamnaa anfusanaa,
wa inlam taghfir lana wa tarhamna

la-nakoonanna minal-khaasireen."

"Aye humare Rabb! Humne (gunah kar ke)
apne aap par zulm kiya hai,

aur agar Aap ne humein muaf na kiya

aur hum par rahem na kiya,

to yaqeenan hum

khasaara paane waalon mein se

ho jaayeinge."

Iss Dua ke zariye
Hazrat Adam عليه السلام ne aur Bibi Hawwah عليه السلام
ne apni ghalti ka iqraar aur nidamat ka izhaar kiya tha.
aur Allah سبحانه وتعالى ne ye dua Khud unhe sikhayi thi.

  Translation

"Our
 Lord!
We have wronged ourselves.
If You forgive us not,
and
bestow not upon us Your Mercy,
we shall certainly be of the losers."

  (The
Noble Qur'an: Chapter #7, Verse #23)

This is the Du'a of Adam (عليه السلام) & Eve (عليه السلام)
to Allah in repentance.
Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) Himself taught these words
to our forefather Adam (عليه السلام).
