Those who desire

the life of the present & its glitter

[11. Surah Hud : Ayah
15-16]

"Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter,- to them we
shall pay (the price of) their deeds therein,- without diminution. "

"They are those for whom there is nothing in the
Hereafter but the Fire: vain are the designs they frame therein, and of
no effect and the deeds that they do! "

              [2. Surah Al-Baqarah : Ayah 200-202]

"...There are men who say: "Our Lord! Give us (Thy
bounties) in this world!" but they will have no portion in the
Hereafter."

"And there are some among them
who say: Our Lord! grant us good in this world and good in the
hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire."

"They shall have (their) portion
of what they have earned, and Allah is swift in reckoning."

              [17. Surah
Bani Israel : Ayah 18-19]

"If any do wish for the transitory things (of this
life), We readily grant them - such things as We will, to such person as
We will: in the end have We provided Hell for them: they will burn
therein, disgraced and rejected."

"Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive
therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the ones whose
 striving is acceptable (to Allah)"

              [42. Surah Ash-Shurah : Ayah 20]

"Whoever
desires the gain of the hereafter, We will give him more of that again;
and whoever desires the gain of this world, We give him of it, and in
the hereafter he has no portion."

              [18. Surah Kahf : Ayah 103-105]

      "Say: "Shall we
tell you of those who lose most in respect of their deeds?-"

      "Those whose
efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were
 acquiring good by their works?"

      "They are those
who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet
Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the
Day of Judgment, give them any weight."
