Assalamu Alaikum,

Introduction to Muslim Youth Work & Level 2 Muslim Youth Work

We are living in unprecedented times. Muslim youth are facing a plethora of
challenges ranging from gang and gun crime, to drugs and alcohol; relationships
and teenage pregnancies to questions of sexuality; from crisis of identity and
citizenship to being
apparently under pressure of being drawn into violent extremism. These
challenges lay a great burden upon us. As Muslims we are duty bound to help
each other and particularly guide our future generations.

What will you do?

'People are the dependents of Allah; the closest to Him are the most useful to
His dependants.' (Sahih Muslim)

Muslim Youth Skills is pleased to announce that it is delivering a 2 day
intensive 'Introduction to Muslim Youth Work' course in London to help start
the process in responding to some of these issues faced by young Muslims. Those
who complete the Introduction course can enroll onto Level 2.

Both courses have been specifically designed for Muslim workers and draw

Muslim context. No previous experience of youth work is needed for the
Introduction course.

Both courses will be very interactive and practical in nature. Ample
opportunity will be available for discussion and enquiry to enable participants
to explore and 'learn by doing'.

Muslim Youth Work setting"
