Prophesies about end time talk of earthquakes and famines and wars in holy
Bible :
Mark 13:8
Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be
earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth
pains.
In the prophesies of Prophet Muhammad SAW earthquakes and famines are forecast.
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The Hour (Last Day) will not be
established until (religious) knowledge will be taken away , earthquakes will
be very frequent, time will pass quickly, afflictions will appear, murders will
increase and money will overflow amongst you." ( Hadith No. 85
Vol 1). (Book #17, Hadith #146)
There have been minor jolts of earthquake in Afghanistans and Pakistan three
times during last week of October 2009. Then an earthquake hit southern Iran
measuring 6.1 on the Richterscale, causing many casualties. A strong quake had
devasted thinly populated northern Areas of Pakistan in October 2005. Irani
authorities are so nervous that they plan to shift their capital to an
earthquake proof city. But they are forgetting that nothing can stop the wrath
of Allah SWT except for His mercy. During the 2005 earthquake only one high
rise apartment building was affected, in Islamabad. One of the twin towers was
razed to ground. People say the residents were corrupt police officers and
civil servants who were engaged in wine and women even in the holy month of
Ramadan were killed. The other tower stayed unhurt by the quake, where traders
and businessmen lived. Pakistani's should not have never forgotten that they
were spared in 2005
when only thinly populated areas were affected. If the quake had hit one of
the major cities, it could have had catastrophic consequences.
Israel has been hit badly by drought and so are India,Iran and China. Pakistan
is Masha Allah the only country in the region which has plenty of rainfall and
abundant canal water for harvesting best Basmati rice, golden wheat and juicy
sugarcane. Wheat is such a nutrituios grain that Prophet Isa ( Christ son of
Mary), used to ask his disciples not to
eat it because they could not offer enough thanks for it to Allah SWT. We eat
the best quality wheat or export it to mint money and it never occurs to us
that we owe a word of thanks to Allah. Our beloved prophet Muhammad only ate
barley (Jau) and so did Moses, Christ and Job. There is no guarantee of
continued supply of our staple food, except by thanksgiving. Holy Quran says:
And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed: "If you give thanks , I will give
you more ; but if you are thankless , verily My punishment is indeed
severe." ( سورة إبراهيم , Ibrahim, Chapter #14, Verse #7
May Allah bless us with the wisdom to understand that no one has the right or
claim on Allah's bounties and favors, except by offering thanks by
sharing them with our less fortunate brothers and sisters.
