Hi Jill,

Here are the books I've found most helpful:

Visual Basic.Net Class Design Handbook
http://www.apress.com/book/bookDisplay.html?bID=232
This book has given me some of the best information i've found on
vb.net and OO. Written by three different people, the Class Design
Handbook emphasizes the mechanics of the language.

Many of the examples begin with a conceptual overview and a basic
code sample followed by a more detailed one. If you read this, get
ready to fire up IL Dissembler tool that comes with the framework
becasue. The authors actually walk you through the IL code rendered
by the vb compiler as a way to illustrate why they make certain
choices when coding.

The Visual Basic .NET Programming Language

Expert One-on-One Visual Basic .NET Business Objects
Recently picked this up.. its pretty intimidating but I think if you
put the time and brain power into it.. you'll learn alot(I hope to
at least)

One of the best learning devices I've found isn't a book at all. The
FxCop code analysis tool checks your code against several "rule
engines" that the microsoft's .net framework design guidelines.
Get it here: http://www.gotdotnet.com/team/fxcop/
