I like Dan very much but this book is just not very good.

Learning XML by O'Reilly is a masterpiece for as superb generic XML
introduction.

Beginmning VB.net XML is amazing starts at beginning but goes very
deep in a very understandbale style.

Effective XML is a great follow up to either
