Hello everybody,

in 1941 Paul Hindemith composed a set of
variations for violoncello and piano
about an old English Nursery Song
"A frog he went a-courting".

Can anybody give me the tune of this
of this song?

You can of course use MusixTeX, PMX or MT-x,
or send me a ps-file or URLocation ...

To my knowledge it has 13 verses,
the first being

"A frog he went a-courting, he did ride
With a pistol and a sword hung by his side."

The following verses describe how he
enjoyed to have little mousie sitting on his knees,
how they celebrated the marriage and finally
how he was eaten up ...
a sad ending ... :-(

Thanks!

Eckart Begemann
