A typical MusiXTeX processing for file xyz.tex is:

delete/erase/remove/rm xyz.mx2
tex &musixtex xyz
musixflx xyz
tex &musixtex xyz

Did you do that? If not: RTFM    F = Fine, Funny, hilFreich, ...
