Many of them use an own footline, e.g. my publication of Bach's BWV1001.
My usage is hidden in mymusic.tex which provides a \myfootline{<year>}.
It's called in bwv1001.tex before \startpiece.

e.g. partitur.tex (orchestral scores), rests.tex, ...
These examples are smaller.
