People, In my old age I have taken up learning classical guitar again but the Traditional Notation (TN) annoyed me so much again that I got associated with the folks at the Music Notation Project:
http://groups.google.com/group/musicnotation to do my own notation and from there to start using Lilypond and from there to this wonderful site. So I have started downloading from Mutopia the simpler pieces for Guitar and by adding my custom include file in Lilypond I can convert the stuff into my own notation - which is great for me - many thanks to all you generous contributors! However, I would like to convert this: http://www.amazon.com/Mel-Julio-Sagreras-Guitar-Lessons/dp/0786627239 (I have the paid for book) but the only way I can see to do this efficiently is to use OMR but I use Linux and I can't get the only Open Source OMR to work - so I was thinking I would have to pay for a Windows OMR app and run it in a Virtual Machine just to get the job done - transcribing by hand from TN to my own GNote2 notation seems self-defeating . . Do the gurus here have any better suggestions about how I might proceed?
