I've noticed some funny behavior when set auto_tag=yes. Suppose I tag messages 1 and 2, then limit my display to show only messages 3 and 4. Now if I try to apply some operation (such as set-flag important) while message 3 is selected, I'd EXPECT the operation to apply to message 3, and only to message 3, since no visible messages are tagged. However, when there are some hidden tagged messages, mutt ignores the selected message and instead just tries to apply the operation to all messages that are both tagged and visible (so, to zero messages).
Seeing this behavior on mutt 1.5.18 on Arch Linux. Is it an easy fix to make mutt operate on the selected message when there are no messages that are BOTH tagged AND VISIBLE? -- Jim Pryor [EMAIL PROTECTED]
